एक जिज्ञासा .........

कबीर दिन के १२ बजे आँगन में बैठे काम कर रहे थे| एक युवक ने सवाल किया ,"विवाह करना उचित है या नहीं ?" प्रश्न सुनकर कबीर थोड़ी देर चुप रहे फिर उन्होंने अपनी पत्नी को आवाज दी |"जरा लालटेन जला कर लाओ |पत्नी लालटेन जला कर लाई| युवक ने कहा, "आप तो अजूबा ही हैं,आप की पत्नी भी खूब हैं यहाँ तो धूप है ,लालटेन की क्या ज़रुरत ?" कबीर बोले, "बस यही तुम्हारे सवाल का जवाब है| पति पत्नी में तर्क न हो ,समर्पण हो तो विवाह करना उचित है |"

अनवरत                                            

बचपन में 

दीवाली के दिए से तराजू बनाया करते थे 

उनका संतुलन साधने के प्रयास में

छोटे हाथ काँपने लगते थे 

पर धीरे-धीरे हाथ बड़े होते गए 

संतुलन भी बढ़ता गया 

तराजू के पलड़ों में 

आँसू और मुस्कान रखते गए 

कोशिश इसी बात की रही की

मुस्कान का पलड़ा भारी 

हो जाए 

आँसू और मुस्कान 

तराजू के पलड़ों पर

नज़र आ जाते हैं अब भी 

पर मुस्कान का पलड़ा कभी भारी नहीं होता 

जिन्दगी की इस आपाधापी में 

सब कुछ देखकर भी

नजरअंदाज कर देती हूँ 

चल पड़ती हूँ अपने घर की ओर

आँसू और मुस्कान में संतुलन

साधने के प्रयास में

The Miller Of Dee by Charles Mackay

A very nice poem.I understood the beauty  of the poem when I was given the poem to teach in my B.Ed final exam.Since then it has always encouraged me to love my family and well wisher and have no enmity with any. Here it goes.........

There dwelt a miller, hale and bold,
Beside the river Dee;
He worked and sang from morn till night -
No lark more blithe than he;
And this the burden of his song
Forever used to be:
"I envy nobody - no, not I -
And nobody envies me!"

"Thou'rt wrong, my friend," said good King Hal,
"As wrong as wrong can be;
For could my heart be light as thine,
I'd gladly change with thee.
And tell me now, what makes thee sing,
With voice so loud and free,
While I am sad, though I am king,
Beside the river Dee?"

The miller smiled and doffed his cap,
"I earn my bread," quoth he;
"I love my wife, I love my friend,
I love my children three;
I owe no penny I can not pay,
I thank the river Dee,
That turns the mill that grinds the corn
That feeds my babes and me."

"Good friend," said Hall, and sighed the while,
"Farewell, and happy be;
But say no more, if thou'dst be true,
That no one envies thee;
Thy mealy cap is worth my crown,
Thy mill my kingdom's fee;
Such men as thou are England's boast,
O miller of the Dee!

आँख में पानी नहीं अब आग लिखा जायेगा..

मेरे अंदर हैं एक मासूम सी छोटी बच्ची,

.उम्मीदों से भरी ,निरंतर,उदार ,

पालन करने वाली मां भी,  

एक प्रेमपगी भरोसेमंद और निष्ठावान स्त्री ;

मेरे अंदर ही अनेकानेक स्त्रियों की छवि ,

उपेक्षा अवहेलना कभी मत करो,

मुझे एक रूप में कभी मत देखो,

कभी एक मासूम बच्ची ,

कभी उद्यमी ,कभी सयानी 

और कभी खुद को आदर सम्मान की चाह रखने वाली .....

मांग रही है तुमसे निष्कपट शुद्ध बर्ताव .......

अब जब भी तुम किसी पास पड़ोस की स्त्री को देखो ,

तो सबसे पहले उसके अंदर झांकना 

वहां जरूर दिख जाएगी तुम्हे 

एक मासूम सी बच्ची...............

HA! HA!HA!HA!...

Bus conductor:      How old are you?
Little Girl:              Only six.
Bus conductor:       And when will you become twelve?
Little Girl:               As soon as I get down from the bus.
